I grew up in a small Indiana town, went to Indiana University (of course), moved to Colorado, dabbled in a little work as a bachelor's chemist, studied for a year as an organic chemist grad student, worked for a year in the "real world," taught chemistry labs to undergraduates for a few years, studied again for a year as an "educator" grad student, taught at a summer science camp, student taught in a small Colorado high school and an inner city school, then got paid to teach in an awesome suburban high school, moved to California, taught physics for three years in another awesome high school, became a mom...to twins, and finally --- teach in an another absolutely positively great high school! I've been teaching in the district since 2002, but have been teaching students since 1998.
